now today, I put the border on it.
I got this wonderful borderfabric from Sandy in Kansas City.

Adventscalender for inchies

here finally my adventskalender!

this evening I opended the one for tomorow...sorry, but I need a suprise!

Jeanneke aus den Niederlanden hat eine Mitnäh-Aktion gestartet, bei der im nächsten Jahr jeden Tag ein Häuschen genäht werden soll, insgesamt also 366. Weltweit haben sich bereits über 1000 Quilter angemeldet. Wie hätte ich da widerstehen können? Die Häuschen sind winzig (3"x3") und daher kann man sie prima aus der Restekiste nähen. Glücklicherweise gibt es keine strengen Regeln, sodass es auch nichts ausmacht, wenn man nicht wirklich jeden Tag ein Exemplar näht. Denn das werde ich bestimmt nicht schaffen....

Jeanneke from the Netherlands started a new sew-along project, where you are supposed to sew a tiny house block (3"x3") from scraps each day in 2012, altogether 366. Already more than 1000 quilters from all over the world have registered to participate. I couldn't resist either. The houses can easily be made from scraps and there aren't any rules, just guidelines. So it will be okay if I actually won't be sewing a house every day.

The idea for our International Block Swap was born during a meeting of a group of German, Swiss, and US American quilters in Baltimore, USA, in October 2010. One of the American ladies thought it would be a great idea to swap quilt blocks with quilters around the world. Of course, we at Quilt around the World wanted to be included!
